If your manuscript has already been through beta reads and developmental editing, it’s time for copying editing! Copy editing will involve the full review of your manuscript to identify any stylistic issues: clunky wording, unnecessary repetition, incorrect word choice, etc. Corrections will be suggested via “tracked changes” in Word, so you are able to decide which corrections you wish to make and wish you don’t.
Please note: this is NOT the same as proofreading. While misspellings or obvious mistakes may be identified, a final proof edit on any manuscript is recommended.
